Leadership Skills

Picture
A leaders success depends upon their ability to influence the actions of others.
The program focuses on leadership behaviours and methods of communication that engage employees in serving the organisations goals, by linking to their individual motivators. The development program offers the opportunity to see how leaders affect employees both positively and negatively. In addition, participants are able to practice and utilise practical tools that help lead people more effectively to achieve the results the leader wants. The purpose of the course is to enhance managers ability to lead through understanding their personal approach and how to better communicate with others in order to achieve business goals.
The program explores the different ‘hats’ the leader wears and more importantly when to wear them.

Talent Pragrams

2013 saw completion of the NextGen finance program for Metro AG. The 30 participants who started this year’s NextGen Finance had individual telephone coaching sessions before attending the first core module in March 2013. This leadership module addressed individual leadership capabilities as well as team leadership skills. As a participant put it  “NGF 2013 is a great training program that brings all talented managers to the upper level in terms of self-confidence, self-consciousness and teamwork abilities.” The concept of the modular program gave opportunities for sharing ideas, expertise and experiences between participants from many different countries and sales lines.

We have a real passion for these sort of programs and they formed the core of our business last year so if you want to grow your own talent we are always happy to build, support and contribute our approach to developing  your future leaders.

Influence

Picture
Influence skills are primary elements of effective communication and leadership ability.
This program  provides people with the behavioural skills important to getting  their jobs done efficiently
while keeping relationships intact. To  get things done in today's organizations, we must positively influence others (direct reports, colleagues, managers, clients, suppliers) - both inside and outside the organization. In addition, the factors influencing organizations change, therefore flexibility in using different  influence approaches is key. Typical influence goals include gaining buy-in for one's ideas,  securing cooperation, attuning agendas, and sustaining action. Strong influencers fulfill their personal objectives while maintaining and nurturing important  work relationships - in practice that can be extremely challenging.
Many people achieve their influence objectives only at the expense of important relationships. Others habitually avoid challenging influence situations, at the expense of fulfilling their work goals.
